How to Choose a Web Design Company in Dubai: 10 Questions to Ask

Ten questions that separate a website that brings in customers from one that just looks nice. Use them before you sign with any agency.

Dubai has no shortage of web design agencies. Choosing the right one can mean the difference between a website that brings in steady enquiries and one that quietly costs you money.

Use these ten questions to compare agencies and choose with confidence.

1. Can I see websites you built for businesses like mine?

A portfolio shows style and quality. Look for live websites, not only screenshots, and check how they work on your phone.

2. How will this website bring me customers?

The right answer covers strategy, calls to action, SEO and tracking, not only colours and fonts. If the conversation never mentions leads or sales, keep looking.

3. Is the design custom or based on a template?

Both can work. What matters is that you know which one you are paying for and the price matches.

4. Is SEO included?

Ask exactly what is included: keyword-led page structure, titles and meta descriptions, speed optimisation, schema markup and Search Console setup. A website that is not built for SEO is hard to fix later.

5. Will the website be fast and mobile-friendly?

Most UAE customers will see your website on a phone. Ask how the agency tests speed and mobile usability before launch.

6. Can you build in Arabic?

If you serve Arabic-speaking customers, check that the agency builds proper right-to-left layouts and handles Arabic SEO, not just translated text.

7. Who will write the content?

Content is often the reason projects get delayed. Agree early on who writes the copy, sources the photos and translates the text.

8. Will I own my website?

You should own your domain, content and code, with full admin access. Get this in writing.

9. What happens after launch?

Websites need updates, security patches and backups. Ask about maintenance plans, response times and the cost of small changes.

10. What exactly is in the quote?

Compare quotes line by line: number of pages, design rounds, features, content, SEO, hosting and support. The cheapest quote often leaves out the things that make a website work.

Red flags to watch for

  • Guaranteed first-page Google rankings
  • No written scope or timeline
  • You do not own the domain or hosting account
  • No questions about your business goals
